Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday and Novice Tourney
29-31 Aug 2003
Barony of Sacred Stone

Her Excellency, Kisaiya of Sacred Stone invites you to the celebration of Sacred Stone's 21st Birthday. The event will be a mix of the old and the new, tradition and innovation! This year we will celebrate our newcomers and our children, but don't worry, there will be activities abounding for all!

There will be fun for children of all ages including children's activities and a challenging test of your knowledge of the history of Sacred Stone.

Fighting Heavy and light fighting will abound, starting with a Novice Tourney opening on Saturday at 11 AM and followed by a general tourney. There have been some concerns with the previously announced fighting format so we will determine the best format for the tourneys on-site based on the number of entrants for the lists.
Arts & Sciences: The A&S competitions will include some old standards (best use of the Phoenix) and some new challenges, as well as classes dedicated to learning a new skill or improving on one you already have.
Other Activites: There will be a brewing competition, period encampment competition, archery, bardic, hafla, and more.
Feast: The kitchen will be open throughout the event, with a sideboard Friday evening, a light breakfast and then a lunch sideboard on Saturday, followed by a feast that will tickle the tongue prepared by Lady Brianna O'Duinn and birthday cake for all! Breakfast will also be served on Sunday morning. Sideboards will be open to all who attend the event, with an extra charge only for the evening Feast on Saturday. Please bring feast gear for the sideboards.

Feast will feature Blasted Chicken, Meat Pies, and Stuffed Salmon and will of course be followed up with birthday cake.
